Did You Know: Slovenia

Have you heard of the country of Slovenia?  It is a small central European country that you don’t usually hear about – but has a fascinating history and story to tell.  Most recently, prior to it becoming a republic in 1991 it was part of what was known as Yugoslavia.  It is nestled in the mountains between Hungary, Croatia, Austria & Italy and enjoys having portion of the Adriatic Sea on its southern front.  Definitely a place to visit!

Here is an interesting fact – the oldest known wheel in the world (5000+ yrs old) was found in Slovenia and is in a museum in the capital.
